Our Pathway Lighting Design Process
Our ultimate goal behind the design of your pathway lighting system is to emphasize the unique charm of your pathways and surrounding landscaping while creating the exact nighttime atmosphere you desire as you or your guests navigate your outdoor spaces.
Our comprehensive lighting design methodology involves an intricate selection process for the right light types and fixtures, precise light positioning and direction, and meticulous determination of the most suitable lighting intensities and color temperatures to achieve the intended visual impact.
Here are the steps involved in our pathway lighting design process:
#1. Identify the goals and objectives: Before starting the design process, it's important to identify the purpose of the lighting. Is it for security, safety, aesthetics, or all three? What features along your pathways do you want the lighting to highlight or accentuate?
#2. Survey the site: Next, we walk the pathways and take note of the existing features, such as trees, shrubs, water features, stairs or steps, and any structures. We need to consider how these features will be affected by the lighting and how they can be used to enhance the overall design.
#3. Choose the types of lights and fixtures: There are many different types of lighting fixtures to choose from that would be suitable for a pathway. We need to consider the style and theme of the overall landscape, as well as the type of bulbs and controls that will be used.
#4. Determine the placement and orientation of the lights: We will decide where the lights will be placed and how they will be oriented. We'll need to consider the height and angle of the lights, as well as the distances between the fixtures to ensure we get the best coverage.
#5. Select the lighting levels and color temperature: We need to consider the desired ambiance and mood of the space, and choose the appropriate lighting levels and color temperature to create the desired effect.
#6. Test the lighting: Before finalizing the design, it's important we test the lighting to ensure it creates the desired effect. This may involve adjusting the placement or orientation of the fixtures, or adjusting the lighting levels and color temperature.
#7. Install and maintain the lighting: Finally, once the design is complete, the lighting fixtures can be installed and properly maintained to ensure they function properly and look their best. This may involve cleaning and replacing bulbs and fixtures as needed. It may also include adjusting light positioning as your surrounding landscape grows and matures.
The biggest deciding factor with your new pathway lighting is going to be your overall budget. We have no intention of showing you something or presenting ideas you can't afford, we can work with your budget to come up with a beautiful driveway lighting scheme you and your family can enjoy.
If you'd like to schedule a consultation with us to discuss your pathway lighting ideas we'd be happy to meet with you. Please call (806) 777-4949 or fill out our online form and we'll get right back to you.
What Our Customers Say
Johnathan Norris and Brandon just left. They were quick but very thourough. I asked about a problem in my flower bed and they were so knowledgeable about the most likely cause and suggestion for a remedy. Also kindly educated me about mulch and other things. Just moved back home to Borger after 39 years away, so I am pretty ignorant about the growing season but thanks to people like Johnathan and Brandon, I'm learning.
Tyler did a great job. Very courteous, communicative and friendly!
CD & his partner did a great job on our sprinkler repair. They were polite, professional, and on time. They did the job quickly and efficiently and we would use them again. We would be happy to recommend them to others needing sprinkler work. Thanks guys!
Awesome service! Technician, CD called when headed out, diagnosed my issue within just a few minutes and gave me an estimated cost to repair. Work was done quickly, checked my entire sprinkler system after repairs were done, made a few adjustments to sprinkler heads and everything is working properly. If you need your irrigation system worked on these are the guys to call. Will definitely call again if I need repairs. Very professional.
The fellows (Tyler and Jacob, I believe) who did the work on my irrigation system listened to my requests and completed all the work that I asked them to do in such as way that really satisfied me. It was a difficult day with rain slowing them down periodically, but they stuck with the job to the finish. I will definitely recommend them.
Tyler was very professional, explained everything my system needed and also followed up with a phone call. Very rare these days. Very happy with the job and impressed how quickly it was finished. Had everything needed in the truck, did not have to order any parts or come back to finish the job. It was taken care of on the first trip.
